Deputy Director of the Institute of CIS Countries Vladimir Zharikhin made this appeal to the business community at the Moscow Economic Forum.
“We need to discuss not the prospects for expanding cooperation, but the prospects for the most painless exit of Russian business from the Ukrainian economy. The banking business has been delayed and is already suffering significant losses. There is still a very significant amount of productive business left there,” Zharikhin said.
At the same time, the expert proposes to transfer the released assets to the LDPR.
“The most rational thing in this situation would be not just to withdraw assets, but to transfer these assets to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. And to Crimea too. This tactic will be correct,” Zharikhin said.
He believes that Russian business should not feel excessive responsibility to the Ukrainian people.
“On the one hand, you need to leave, because they won’t let you work, but on the other hand, by leaving, you deprive innocent citizens of their jobs and lower the standard of living of the Ukrainian people. But we need to start from a tough position. If the majority remains loyal to this regime, then they will have to leave, despite the losses that the Ukrainian economy will suffer,” Zharikhin said.
