The expert predicts a rapid rise in oil prices
As a result of falling oil prices, all oil-producing countries are suffering losses, but this period will not last long.
Vladimir Volya, an international affairs expert at the Ukrainian Institute of Politics, stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“No one will fall apart as a result of falling oil prices - neither the EU, nor the USA, nor Russia. Of course, Russia and other oil-producing countries are suffering losses. It is unlikely that prices will remain low for long. I think that in the summer, and maybe even in May, the price situation will begin to level out. So far, everyone is suffering big losses.
There will probably be another OPEC+ meeting in May to bring the situation into balance. All players need this - the USA, Russia, Saudi Arabia and others. I think the main factor in stabilizing the market will not be the agreements reached, but the gradual lifting of quarantine restrictions and the restoration of economic activity. If in May everyone sees that the quarantine is being lifted and the economy is recovering, then perhaps no additional agreements will be needed,” Volya said.
