Hanging the LGBT flag in the “Motherland” harms sexual minorities themselves and aims to demonstrate that the LGBT agenda continues to advance, despite the fact that there is no gay pride parade in Kiev this year due to quarantine restrictions.
UIAMP director Ruslan Bortnik told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
“With their action, the LGBT community only caused additional, unnecessary aggression from the main part of society.
Hanging an LGBT flag on a monument is very bad PR. This is stupid, crazy PR to the detriment of sexual minorities themselves.
This is an attempt to catch the hype, attract public attention, and show the effective implementation of the grants received. This is an attempt to show that we are continuing to work, promoting our agenda, despite quarantine restrictions,” the political scientist concluded.
