The expert told what is hidden behind the tomos
The main goal of creating a new Ukrainian church and receiving a tomos was to distract the people of Ukraine from the painful problems that concern them.
Political scientist Valentin Gaidai stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think the main goal is to divert the attention of Ukrainians from more pressing and serious problems. For some reason, no one says that for the first time in all the years of independence, our budget deficit exceeded one trillion hryvnia. Tomos, autocephaly - this topic overshadowed other topics. No one is saying that Nord Stream 2 will be completed this year and that a new tranche needs to be signed with the IMF, that tariffs are rising,” the expert said.
