The expert told how the new Prosecutor General is blackmailing Ze-gang’s business competitors
The new head of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, Ruslan Ryaboshapka, having inherited incriminating evidence on many political figures from his predecessors, uses it to blackmail political and economic competitors of the current government.
Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At one time there was a “Shokin list”, then it was a “Lutsenko list”, they said that a different number of deputies appeared there - they called the numbers 30, 40, 70.
Some of them became deputies again, some materials have been developed there. There are well-established cases for many deputies of the previous convocation, and I would not be surprised if Ryaboshapka goes to this parliament with a proposal to lift parliamentary immunity before December 31.
We see that today processes of pressure have unfolded from the new team and the authorities and their business environment on competing financial and political groups - Petro Poroshenko, Rinat Akhmetov, maybe someone else.
This pressure will most likely continue to intensify, and I do not rule out that, as part of this pressure, the Prosecutor General may make recommendations to Petro Poroshenko’s entourage or to himself to lift parliamentary immunity,” Bortnik noted.
In turn, the head of the Perspektiva information and analytical center, Pavel Rudyakov, emphasized that, despite the “threats” of the new prosecutor general, the Ukrainian elite continues to zealously plunder the country.
“The main goal of Mr. Ryaboshapka was to wag his finger at the elite. He is not the first to threaten. The elite is afraid, cowardly, but, nevertheless, continues to do its work - continues to plunder the country’s resources with great enthusiasm and success, as before,” the expert was indignant.
