Until the parliamentary elections, the rhetoric of the elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will be structured in such a way that each voter can interpret his promises in his own way.

People's Deputy Alexander Vilkul, representing a fragment of the Opposition Bloc, focusing on the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I liked Zelensky’s speech in terms of the fact that he said that he would direct all efforts to achieve peace, this is good. But we must understand that politics is still the art of the possible, and in order to quickly achieve results, achieve peace, it is necessary to enter into direct negotiations with Russia, there is no other way out.

At the same time, meeting with the American delegation, he publicly called for tougher sanctions against Russia in front of cameras. It is impossible to talk about peace with your left hand, which is only a way out to direct negotiations, and do this with your right hand. That is, there are many contradictory statements,” the people’s deputy said.

At the same time, his interlocutor, People’s Deputy Tymoshenko Sergei Vlasenko, commenting on Zelensky’s inaugural speech, expressed regret that he did not hear some things that were important to him.

“He talked about corruption in the army, about looting, but he did not talk about the irreversibility of punishment for those who carried out this corruption in the army and this looting. At the end of his speech, he called on the Verkhovna Rada to vote for the removal of the head of the SBU, the Prosecutor General and the Minister of Defense from their posts (I am sincerely glad that he spoke publicly about the prosecutor, because there were rumors that there were agreements that the obviously unprofessional prosecutor Lutsenko would remain), but I I didn’t hear about candidates for these positions... He spoke in very broad, very often general phrases, rather like campaign slogans,” Vlasenko said.

However, Vilkul easily explained the tactics of the newly elected president.

“It seems to me that before the parliamentary elections he will try not to say anything specific so that everyone can draw what they like into this frame. Those who are against NATO drew what they are against NATO, those who are for NATO drew what they are for. And so on,” noted the opposition bloc member.
