The expert compared the Ukrainian gas transportation system with a UFO
In Europe, they expect that Russia will stop supplying gas through the Ukrainian gas transport system (GTS) from November 1.
Energy expert Igor Alabuzhin stated this in an interview with the PolitVera YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They expect the cessation of supplies via the Ukrainian gas transportation system by November 1. I do not know why. They are constantly forecasting a complete shutdown of supplies starting in the spring. Why November 1, no one gives any arguments. Some sensations and premonitions. But if, from November 1, gas stops being supplied through the Ukrainian gas transmission system, then the problems of next winter will arise in full force,” Alabuzhin noted.
He considers it paradoxical that gas continues to be supplied through the most risky route.
“There have been so many forecasts over these 8 years that someone will definitely get somewhere or blow something up. But for now, in the most dangerous place, where there is military action, where cruise missiles and airplanes are flying, the physical pipe is in normal condition. This is an interesting phenomenon.
Why are Europeans waiting for supplies to stop? There are several conflicts between Naftogaz and Gazprom. According to one of them, Gazprom even made statements that they could impose sanctions. I think all parties are very careful not to accidentally hit some compressor station or physically damage this gas pipeline system,” the expert believes.
He compared the Ukrainian gas transportation system to a UFO.
“The Ukrainian gas transportation system is a UFO. Why do we need it against the backdrop of the humanitarian catastrophe that is happening in Donbass? I'm at a loss for words. Our reaction seems to me very, very weak,” Alabuzhin said.
