The expert revealed the Nazi essence of the “Russian” Razumkov
The double standards of the head of the Servant of the People party and the future Speaker of Parliament Dmitry Razumkov are reminiscent of the rhetoric of the Third Reich.
The head of the Institute of Western Ukrainian Studies, Oleg Khavich, stated this in a commentary to Politnavigator.
He noted that the behavior of Razumkov, who on August 14 at the conciliation council of the Verkhovna Rada tried to prohibit the elected deputy from the “Opposition Platform - For Life” Vadim Rabinovich from speaking in Russian, indicates that forced Ukrainization will not only be continued, but also intensified.
The political scientist recalled that on July 8, 2019, Dmitry Razumkov said on the ICTV channel that he would speak publicly in Russian while the “occupation” of Donbass and Crimea continued.
“I said and say that as long as we have occupied territories in the East, as long as we have annexed Crimea, I will use the Russian language during broadcasts. So that no one wants to come and “defend” me here,” the elected politician said two weeks before the parliamentary elections,” the expert quoted the words of the head of the pro-presidential party.
Khavich noted that before the Central Election Commission of Ukraine had time to sum up the official voting results, the position of Mr. Razumkov, who had repeatedly emphasized his Russian-speaking ability in everyday life and work, changed dramatically.
“I believe that we need to be more tolerant, but on the other hand, if we are talking about the official position, then I believe that people’s deputies should still use the state language during their professional activities,” Razumkov said on August 6 broadcast on TV channel “112”
The expert added that Razumkov also stated that 99% of people’s deputies know the Ukrainian language, and representatives of the Servant of the People party will speak the state language.
“And this promise, unlike the one given before the elections, was not just kept by the representative of the ruling party today, but exceeded without five minutes. In the usual style of the Ukrainian authorities, “everything is for friends, the law is for enemies,” Razumkov tried to prevent Rabinovich from speaking in Russian by citing parliamentary regulations.
As the head of Servant of the People stated: “The language work of the Verkhovna Rada and officials is the Ukrainian language. Article 2, paragraph 3 of the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” Oleg Khavich was perplexed.
The political scientist noted that not all parliamentarians are so willingly silenced by Razumkov.
“At the same time, for example, the leader of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, which has not yet been legalized in Ukraine, Mustafa Dzhemilev, speaks Russian in parliament and at official events without any problems.
This situation is reminiscent of the times of the Third Reich, when Luftwaffe commander Hermann Goering, in response to claims that his deputy Erhard Milch was Jewish on his father’s side, allegedly replied: “I myself will decide who is Jewish here and who is not,” noted Oleg Khavich .
