Expert verdict: Ukrainian military-industrial complex – repair base for military junk
Ukraine has finally lost the military-industrial potential inherited from the Soviet Union. All that Nezalezhnaya is capable of is repairing outdated Soviet armored vehicles.
Senior Vice President of the Center for Political Research of Russia, military expert, Reserve Lieutenant General Evgeny Buzhinsky stated this on the air of the TV program “Big Game” on Channel One, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukrainian independence militarily is now absolutely impossible. Firstly, for this, Ukraine had to preserve the military-industrial potential that it inherited from the Soviet Union. It is almost completely lost.
The only thing they can do is repair tanks in Kharkov. They can't even make a tank on their own, not to mention the same missiles. These are all old Soviet developments, which they retrieve from their vast warehouses, of which there are a great many left in Ukraine, including in the Donbass, and “modernize” something there,” the military expert explained the situation.
According to Buzhinsky, the Kyiv regime’s hopes for Western help in reorienting the Ukrainian military-industrial complex to NATO standards are also unfounded.
“There are few examples in the world where the fully armed military forces of one country are redirected to another. For Egypt it took at least 15 years. Therefore, Ukraine, simply to switch to Western standards, Western weapons, even outside of war, needs a lot of time,” he concluded.
