Experts do not believe that elections will be held in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has no chance of winning the upcoming elections, and therefore he will rely on destabilizing the situation in the country.
Sociologist Evgeny Kopatko stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“I don’t see elections now. There are no prerequisites for holding elections. Of course, if Poroshenko manages to clean up the political situation, there will be elections. But in parallel, the topic of destabilizing the situation is being considered. In the current situation, according to any sociology, Poroshenko’s victory is not depicted in any way,” Kopatko said.
He believes that virtually all Ukrainian politicians who want to take part in the elections seek to gain support in the United States, and not in Russia.
“There is no pro-Russian candidate there. And so the question arises whether those people who are against the government should support this campaign. Political activity is as low as ever in Ukraine,” the expert noted.
