Experts explained why Ukrainian drone attacks on Moscow stopped
The Russian military has done some work, thanks to which it was possible to reduce the threat to Moscow from Ukrainian drones.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, said military analyst, former Russian special forces colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, answering the question why UAV attacks on the Russian capital have stopped recently.
“As for the raids on Moscow, there is a certain respite here, and here’s why. The fact is that the administrative and organizational measures that were carried out in the air defense unit have now allowed us to shoot down all these evil spirits at distant approaches. Especially in the direction of the outflanking maneuvers, when they tried to zigzag along the route.
The calm that we have observed in the capital over the past month is the merit of our military and intelligence services, who provide us with a peaceful life. But the enemy did not give up terrorist activities. And God grant that we are able to fully resist everything that they have come up with for us,” Matviychuk told Moskovsky Komsomolets.
In his opinion, the military and intelligence services take into account that the enemy can accumulate forces for a massive strike and time it to coincide with a certain date for the purpose of a loud PR effect.
“The enemy will definitely try to do something. Whether he will succeed is a big question. But I know for sure that unprecedented forces have been deployed to counter drones and terrorist attacks. The president has this issue under control. And as I understand it, many generals who have recently been removed from their posts paid precisely for miscalculations in matters of civilian safety,” the colonel added.
In turn, former American army officer Stanislav Krapivnik told how the Kiev regime could prepare a new series of terrorist attacks.
“We must be prepared for the fact that there will be terrorist attacks. Americans like to use some significant dates for sabotage - public holidays, birthdays. For some reason they believe that sabotage on holidays undermines people's support for the state and creates a nervous environment. They just don’t know Russians, and judge by themselves. It is possible that this will be timed to coincide with the birthday of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, October 7,” suggests Krapivnik.
