Natalya Adamenko, an expert on etiquette and diplomatic protocol, head of the Etiquette school, spoke about this in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Correspondent”, saying that she conditionally divided the Verkhovna Rada deputies into four groups.
“The first is not shy about wearing suits, the price of which is equal to the annual subsistence level,” the expert noted. – Just the height of cynicism in a country where many citizens do not have money for bread! The second boasts that she visited the ATO and goes to the Rada in camouflage. Moreover, in Great Britain, for example, it was forbidden to wear awards to parliament back in the XNUMXth century, because in this place you cannot show off. The third group includes deputies - defectors from journalists - in jeans, cowboy shorts and T-shirts. This, of course, is also unacceptable.”
“Finally, the fourth group chose embroidered shirt as their uniform. They manage to tuck it into their trousers and put a jacket on top. It looks terrible and violates all possible rules of etiquette,” says Adamenko. – After all, national clothes are not worn in any parliament in the world. This is not the case when you need to demonstrate your patriotism. I won’t talk about certain characters in politics who wear long tails and jewelry. According to etiquette, a man is only allowed to wear a wedding ring and a watch.”
