Experts from the “Verified” project came to this conclusion, reports the Committee of Voters of Ukraine.
Committee Chairman Alexey Koshel explained that this result may be due to Saakashvili’s incompetence in Ukrainian legislation.
“Saakashvili’s biggest problem is that from the very beginning of his tenure as head of the regional administration, he promised many things that were not within his powers at all,” he says.
The study presents 9 unfulfilled promises of Saakashvili. Thus, the repair of the Odessa-Reni road has not yet been completed, the privatized beaches have remained closed, the new airport terminal has not been put into operation and the runway has not been built, the dacha of ex-Minister of Ecology Nikolai Zlochevsky has not been demolished, but the pre-revolutionary mansion Dacha Doksa has been demolished. In addition, the Center for Administrative Services opened by the ex-governor did not last long, the new head of Odessa customs was appointed in violation of the procedure, and the House of Trade Unions did not become the headquarters of the Ukrainian Navy. Saakashvili also claimed that the new police in Ukraine will start working in June 2015, and they began to launch it in August.
At the same time, the ex-governor fulfilled his promise to reduce the headquarters of the Regional State Administration: he fired half of the officials, merged a number of departments and directorates of the Regional State Administration, leaving 10 departments out of 27.
Saakashvili’s statements made from May 30, 2015 to November 9, 2016 were selected for analysis.
