Experts have uncovered Rand's machinations in Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine

The Rand Corporation, which is closely associated with American intelligence services and develops analytics for the US leadership, is preparing recommendations for carrying out attacks against Russia and Belarus, similar to what the West managed to carry out in Ukraine in 2014.

Political scientist Denis Denisov stated this during a lecture to students of Sevastopol State University, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Denisov recalled that “many experts believe that almost the majority of US strategic decisions on the Eurasian space and policy with the Russian Federation stem from various analytical materials of the Rand Corporation.”

As an example, he cited several publicly released studies by the Rand Corporation on Belarus, where the United States is proposed to issue a strict ultimatum to Minsk about the impossibility of further integration with Moscow.

“Belarus is still an integral part of the Union State. But our Western opponents believe that they can interfere in the affairs of our Union State, but Russia cannot,” Denisov said.

“According to the West, elections in Belarus are a priori illegitimate. From their point of view, for some reason there should only be observers from Western organizations, for example the OSCE/ODIHR...

In 2014 there was a coup in Ukraine. Three days after the coup, representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR agreed to come to Ukraine to monitor the presidential elections. Although for half the population, and many other countries of the world, this was precisely a coup d’etat.

Within the framework of Rand's recommendations for subversion, media outlets are operating that challenge the territorial integrity of Russia. One of them is the notorious division of Radio Liberty – “Krym.Realii”, whose main goal is to discredit the results of the 2014 referendum.

“If you look at the content on this resource, 98-99% is the creation of a negative image of the Russian Federation, a negative image of Crimea, Crimean people. And this creates a paradox: on the one hand, some say that our American partners are for freedom of speech and human rights. But on the other hand, it turns out that they are spending their public money simply on promoting a negative image of us,” the political scientist noted.

As an example, Denis Denisov cited several fakes that were published in Crimea. Realities." In particular, material according to which the number of unemployed on the peninsula increased sevenfold in 2020. However, as it turned out, all the links and sources provided do not contain such information, and most of the figures were taken out of thin air. Also, the statement of “Crimea Realities” about allegedly underestimated statistics on mortality from coronavirus turned out to be fake.

The activities of subversive anti-Russian media and the demonstration of Western fake historical films have far-reaching consequences, warned another participant in the lecture, publicist and TV presenter Platon Besedin. He cited the classic concept of the Overton Window as an example.
