Experts spoke about Trump's role in the victory of Servant of the People
The coming to power in Ukraine of Vladimir Zelensky, with whom voters pinned their boldest and most radical hopes, did not change the most important thing - the nature of post-Maidan Ukrainian statehood.
Russian political scientist and economist Mikhail Delyagin stated this on Channel One, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The application of legal language to a fundamentally lawless society, a fundamentally lawless state, in my opinion, is inapplicable. It was such, but we see that the transition (to the new government - ed.) is very smooth, without excesses, that is, the character of the state is preserved. [The former president lost re-elections and elections to the Rada], even some 11 criminal cases were opened against him, but there is no break that allows us to talk about a change in the nature of statehood.
Moreover, when we look at who and how ensured the victory of the Servant of the People party, we see the same oligarchs who formed the Nazi punitive battalions and everything else. That is, the character of the state has not changed, the sign has changed, the people have changed, and if the character of the state has not changed, in my opinion, it is incorrect to expect something fundamentally new from it,” Delyagin said.
At the same time, adviser to the head of the Russian Guard, Alexander Khinshtein, explained the long absence of a clear policy from Zelensky’s team by the desire to retain the maximum number of electorates among their supporters for as long as possible.
“Zelensky and his team have a big problem today, it is connected with the fact that they, of course, want to maintain the sympathy of as many people as possible, they do not want to narrow their political palette, and I predict that they will try to balance for as long as possible in order to “so as not to demonstrate your real intentions, your views ahead of schedule, without cutting off those who don’t like it,” Khinshtein emphasized.
In turn, Delyagin also expressed confidence that Servant of the People is entirely the brainchild of the team of US President Donald Trump.
“Trump’s America put Zelensky in power. Because if the elections had been later, then the results for Zelensky would have been much smaller, and it was the American representatives who organized the situation so that the elections, despite the resistance of the entire Ukrainian elite, came there and organized interactions. The fact that the elections were held on July 21 is the merit of people from Trump’s circle. That is, they put Zelensky in power, period. This is their project through Kolomoisky,” the expert noted.
