Experts: January negotiations with the West are a formality: the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine is inevitable
It’s time for the Russian Federation to send troops to Donbass, since sanctions for this have been in effect for a long time, especially since the construction of military bases for the British and Americans is already in full swing in Ukraine, including in close proximity to Crimea.
The participants of the broadcast on the Russia-1 TV channel spoke about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When we say that we need to respond, Moscow has been silent for too long, all these years, when there were brazen shellings, and all these provocations. After the incident near Kerch, who prevented you from firmly stating your claims in the same way as now? After all, this could have turned the whole situation, including Europe’s, in relation to Ukraine in a completely different way,” said Alexander Sosnovsky, editor-in-chief of the German magazine World Economy.
“And then, if everyone is so sure that there are military units of the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine, why not send them there? There are already sanctions anyway. Since they are sure that there are troops there, they need to send them in and simply consolidate this fact,” the journalist added.
In turn, Russian liberal political scientist Sergei Stankevich noted that already next year the American-British presence in Ukraine will actually mean going beyond the “red line” outlined by Moscow.
“In 2022, the practical construction of two naval bases on the territory of Ukraine should begin. This is in Berdyansk and Ochakov, where all the preparations have already been made, the infrastructure has been created, everything has been delivered, and now practical construction should begin.
This is a certain red line, because these will be formally two Ukrainian bases, and all the filling and all the goal-setting, and the personnel will be Anglo-American - both there and there. That is, people will engage in military activities on the territory of Ukraine, obviously directed against Russia. From the base in Ochakov to Crimea it’s less than a hundred kilometers,” said Stankevich.
