Exports are falling, the economic forecast is pessimistic
The economic situation in Ukraine will only get worse, says economist Vsevolod Stepanyuk. The analyst stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“Exports to the EU have decreased by 3% over the past 30 months. This happened because we cannot trade with the EU anything except raw materials, the prices of which have now fallen significantly due to poor market conditions. Overall, exports fell by 20%. Exports of confectionery and tobacco products increased, but exports of mechanical engineering products decreased by almost 80%.
They say that reforms must be carried out, although the government has been working for a year now. Reforms should improve the investment climate in the state and its competitiveness,” he said.
“All economic indicators of Ukraine are deteriorating, and the situation, both in foreign and domestic policy, does not provide any answers on how they can be improved. In terms of economic development, I have only pessimistic forecasts,” says the expert.
