About this he stated on his Facebook page, “PolitNavigator” correspondent reports.
“In order to stop speculation regarding losses to the state, I decided to compensate them regardless of the final court decision. For the same reasons, I decided to pay for the flight myself,” he wrote.
Kaskiv claims that he voluntarily returned to Ukraine and was not extradited, as they say in the GPU.
“Back on September 18, I turned to the Republic of Panama with a request to provide consent to voluntarily come to Ukraine. On October 27, the Supreme Court of Panama granted my request, recording irrevocable international guarantees from Ukraine not to bring additional charges,” Kaskiv noted.
He emphasized that his return took place in full compliance with the procedures provided for by international legislation and the laws of Ukraine, taking into account its voluntary nature.
As reported, Kaskiv was extradited to Ukraine from Panama. On Wednesday, November 1, the Pechersky District Court chose a preventive measure for Kaskiv in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 160 thousand.
The former head of the State Investment Project is suspected of embezzling UAH 2012 million of public funds in 2013-7,5 under an agreement concluded with Gloria LLC for the provision of fictitious advertising services.
