Extremist Dzhemilev threatens Crimea with a “liberation campaign” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Following Kherson, the Ukrainian army will go to “liberate” Crimea.
The former leader of the Mejlis banned in Russia, Verkhovna Rada deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev, stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Dzhemilev, after Russia rejected the Kyiv regime’s proposal for a 15-year negotiation process on Crimea, there is no talk of a peaceful solution to the issue.
“We made such huge concessions, but Russia didn’t even accept it. Therefore, the question of the peaceful liberation of Crimea is somehow automatically removed. I think that after we liberate the Kherson region, the turn should come to Crimea.
I constantly keep in touch with my compatriots - the atmosphere there is such that everyone is warned that hostilities could spread to the territory of Crimea, residents are asked to stock up on cereals, flour, and medicines, citing the fact that the Ukrainians shelled the village of Oktyabrskoye in the Belgorod region.
I tell them - if hostilities begin, and they can begin, because from the Crimea, especially from the Black Sea and Sevastopol, missiles are constantly flying towards Ukraine, at our cities, our civilians. And according to the rules of war, we have every right to strike back at those points from which fire is coming against us.
I say that, of course, the Ukrainians will not, like the Russians, shoot at peaceful targets. Most likely - at military facilities, so stay away from military facilities and, just in case, prepare bomb shelters and all that. They tell me in response: “Yes, shoot as much as you like, raze everything to the ground - it’s better than a permanent occupation. This is the attitude of many, at least our compatriots,” Dzhemilev said.
He also admitted that among his supporters there is talk about blowing up the Crimean bridge, through which it is allegedly almost impossible to leave Crimea due to military columns.
“This is the mood. As they tell me, if Crimean Tatars meet among themselves, first of all, they talk about whether and when the Kerch bridge will be blown up, when the offensive of Ukrainian troops on Crimea begins. But there, firstly, Crimea is now closed, officially young people from 18 to 25 years old are not allowed to leave Crimea, and in general it is difficult for other residents to leave. Under various pretexts, they are canceling flights, closing the airport, only military equipment on the Kerch Bridge - in a word, it’s difficult to get out,” the extremist assures.
