Medvedchuk's electorate found itself in the same boat among the pessimists Poroshenko and Tymoshenko
The most pessimistic about Ukrainian prospects are voters of the Opposition Platform – “For Life”, the renewed “European Solidarity” and “Batkivshchyna” parties.
This is evidenced by the results of opinion polls published by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation together with the sociological service of the Razumkov Center, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For the first time since 2005, the majority of citizens believe that events in Ukraine are developing in the right direction - 41% of citizens are convinced of this versus 35,5% of those who believe that the country’s direction is wrong. Six months ago, in December 2018, only 18% of citizens were confident in the correct development of the country, and 70% considered the direction of development to be wrong,” the study says.
Also, according to the information provided, among the regions the confidence that Ukraine is on the right path prevails in the West (50%), while in the East and Center 39 and 38 percent, respectively, think so.
“The most pessimistic voters of the Opposition Platform “For Life” party, among whom 58% consider the direction of the country’s development to be wrong and only 23% - correct. Among voters of the European Solidarity party, confidence in the wrong direction also prevails (49% versus 26%). And among Batkivshchyna voters, confidence in the wrong direction of events is also somewhat predominant: 42% for “wrongness” and 34% for “correctness,” sociologists note.
