They want to use Akhmetov’s power plant as a TV tower for Kolomoisky’s propaganda
Kyiv, August 15 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) - Ukrainian authorities are facing problems when trying to resume broadcasting in Donbass - the militia is threatening to destroy facilities where temporary television towers are located.
The head of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, Yuriy Artemenko, spoke about this at a briefing.

“In Artemovsk, the transmitter power of the First National Channel will be increased five times, which will increase the coverage area and the brightness of the picture for residents of Artemovsk and nearby settlements. On Monday we are planning to deliver the amplifier of the TV and Radio Broadcasting Company “Studio 1+1” to Artemovsk, as a result of which the power of this transmitter will be increased to 1 kW. Finally, we are now negotiating and working out the installation of transmitters in the city of Kurakhov at the DTEK company’s facility regarding the implementation of broadcasting in the meter range for the Ukraine TV channel, and over time, other TV channels,” he said.
According to the official, it is not yet possible to ensure broadcasting of Ukrainian channels to Donetsk. The possibility of installing transmitters in Kurakhovo, on a thermal power plant pipe, is being considered, which will make it possible to completely cover the entire city territory with a signal.
But transmitters can be destroyed by fire. “There is only one problem - this is the distance, which, on the one hand, is small and very good for signal reception, on the other hand, this distance allows the occupiers’ installations to reach Kurakhov. Destroying the thermal power plant tower, which belongs to DTEK, for the sake of the receiver, and thereby depriving the residents of Donbass of electricity and heat, is not something for which you need to risk the lives and health of people. But as soon as the front comes closer to Donetsk, as soon as the distance to it increases to 40 km, which will not allow Grad installations to destroy DTEK’s facilities, we will immediately launch several channels that will broadcast very well to Donetsk,” the head of the National Council assured.
According to him, the signal is currently being transmitted from Volnovakha, which is more distant from Donetsk, which does not allow receiving images in the entire capital of Donbass.
