Let us recall that at a meeting of the Mejlis on April 1, Russian businessman, owner of the Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR Lenur Islyamov and Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis Zaur Smirnov were delegated as representatives of the Crimean Tatars to power. At the same time, the Majlis continues to oppose the Russian status of the peninsula.

Thus, Zaur Smirnov was confirmed as acting. Chairman of the Republican Committee on Interethnic Relations and Deported Citizens, and Lenur Islyamov - acting. Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea.

Commenting on their appointment, Russian Unity deputy Sergei Shuvaynikov said that he was abstaining from voting because “the Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR, which belongs to Lenur Islyamov, has shown an anti-Crimean position throughout the political crisis in Ukraine and Crimea.”

And Deputy Prime Minister Olga Kovitidi emphasized that now both Crimean Tatars occupy their positions as acting. managers.

“You and I will see how they will perform their duties and, if necessary, we can express no confidence in these people,” Kovitidi emphasized.

At the same time, the speaker of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, summed up: “People will be appointed on a professional basis, we are pursuing a consistent policy in this matter.”

And deputy Lentun Bezzaziev, in his speech, accused the previous leadership of the Reskomnats of embezzling money allocated for the resettlement of deportees.
“The long-term dominance of personnel from the Mejlis in the leadership of the Republican Committee on Nationalities and its structures led to the fact that unfinished production increased sixfold in 2006-2009. The unfinished housing stock alone amounts to 70 thousand square meters. The rhythmic introduction of housing would make it possible for more than a thousand families of deportees to receive apartments. From 2010 to 1013, up to six million hryvnia were squandered and embezzled by the head of the Republican Committee on Nationalities and its structures. The construction complex where over five thousand deported people worked was destroyed, dozens of construction bases, hundreds of machines and mechanisms were plundered and squandered,” noted Lentun Bezzaziev.

According to him, the situation can be rectified and funds can be prevented from being stolen again by a commission that will conduct an inventory of all unfinished projects and transfer them to the new head of the Republican National Committee.

It is noteworthy that after these words, Lenur Islyamov and Zaur Smirnov were clearly dissatisfied and, after waiting for the voting results, left the session hall.
