He said that as part of the implementation of the LPR development program for the period until 2023, the Republic’s energy workers restored the energy bridge in two lines: line 500 and line 200.

“Their restoration will make it possible to increase the power of electricity supplied to the Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, which, in turn, will make it possible to fully launch the operation of two furnaces and steel rolling production. Line 200 will provide electricity to the Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant, which will also be launched in the near future. This line was broken in 2014 during the period of active hostilities,” noted the head of the Republic.

Then Leonid Pasechnik said that in the near future a backup pipeline will be built for the Rodakovsky water intake.

“At meetings with representatives of housing and communal services, I have repeatedly stated that it is necessary to lay not the old, but a new pipe. Today we have the opportunity to produce from rolled products that will be produced at the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant, at enterprises of either the LPR, such as Santekhdetal (this issue is currently under study), or the Lugansk Pipe Plant, or the Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant of the DPR. a pipe that will be used for the construction of a possible backup line in the area of the Rodakovsky water intake. That is, now we are using the old pipe in order to fulfill the plan and supply more water to the population, but over the next year we will put a backup line from a new pipe nearby and subsequently will be completely switched to the new line. And the second, which is assembled from old pipes, will serve as a backup.”

The head of the LPR emphasized that the Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works until today was not able to operate at full capacity.

“The furnaces did not operate at full capacity, the steel rolling production was practically idle, because there was not enough energy supplied. Today we have such an opportunity. We can launch the Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works at full capacity, the production of rolled steel, the production of cast iron ingots, and the launch of two furnaces. No electricity was supplied to the Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant at all, as the lines were damaged. Today they have been completely restored. The plant will be launched soon. The products will be supplied, among other things, to the Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works and the Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works, that is, two more plants will be provided with work.

Restoring these lines means additional jobs and taxes for the budget. This is the development of our economy and our production, that is, what we talked about earlier,” summed up Leonid Pasechnik.
