This is stated in the story of the pro-Ukrainian YouTube channel “Lugansk Front”.
“We came to Severodonetsk Azot with a request to pay off the debt for consumed electricity, which amounts to 71 million 40 thousand UAH,” said the head of the Severodonetsk Distribution Zone Pavel Rybtsev.
As a result of such non-payments, the work of LEO is paralyzed: power engineers have switched to three-day work with meager wages, many are quitting, and the company has neither gasoline nor materials.
“We cannot disconnect this enterprise from the power supply, because there is a so-called environmental and technological armor of a chemical production enterprise. And a complete cessation of power supply to a given enterprise can lead to very serious environmental consequences. We cannot afford this, so we act exclusively within the framework of the law,” said LEO General Director Vladimir Gritsai.
According to energy workers, among the debtors of LEO is not only the chemical enterprise Azot, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Today we are just getting started. Next we will picket the thermal power plant and Vodokanal so that everyone pays off their debts,” added Pavel Rybin.
Let us note that no one came to the participants of the action. After a half-hour rally, the activists dispersed.
