Measles epidemic in Ukraine: the worst is yet to come
During February and early March 2018, an increase in the incidence of measles is expected in Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

This was announced by the director of the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health, Vladimir Kurpita.
“According to expert forecasts, the highest incidence of the disease was expected in late winter - early spring 2018... during February - early March, we will still observe an increase in the incidence rate in all regions of Ukraine.
Let’s hope that we will gradually take control of this situation,” Kurpita said.
It also became known that since the beginning of 2018, 2933 cases of measles have been registered in Ukraine.
“During the 4th week of 2018, 866 people fell ill with measles, of which 574 were children and 292 adults. This is 7% more than the previous week. In total, since the beginning of 2018, 2933 cases of measles have been registered in Ukraine, of which 996 were adults and 1937 children,” Kurpita said.
