“It is obvious that what is happening now between Armenia and Azerbaijan fits into the logic of Western states to separate the post-Soviet space from Russia, to separate Transcaucasia from Russia, in order to sow hostility and lies as much as possible, and push them away from us.
Türkiye plays its own game, and that's clear. And I would point out that further, beyond the Caucasus, there will definitely be Central Asia. And we need to mobilize resources and revise certain postulates of Russian foreign policy in the form of defense and a transition to an offensive, active foreign policy in order to build a future that is beneficial for us,” he said.
Avatkov emphasized that Turkey is now trying with all its might to take revenge for Syria, and we can already talk about an attack on a CSTO member country.
“Throughout all this time, extremely harsh statements have been made from Turkey regarding Crimea. Turkey has been working for 30 years to form these lobby groups, and for 30 years working with religious and ethnic structures.
Moreover, Turkey has a desire for revenge after Syria, there is a desire to annoy Russia, which it does both in relation to gas, which it practically does not purchase, and in relation to the South Caucasus.
But first, Turkey does not have enough resources, this must be taken into account and calculated. Secondly, Erdogan definitely forgot who saved him during the coup, and forgot all the good things that Russia did. Erdogan forgets too quickly, not in the Eastern way, sooner or later it will come back to him.
Then, in Turkey there is a very small, but still nationalist party, the “Great Unity” party. She demanded that the Turkish parliament send troops to Azerbaijan. What will happen then? Already now we can say that if it is really true that the Turks destroyed the “drying” in Armenia, then this is an attack on the CSTO. What should we do?" – the expert added.
In turn, TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov emphasized that the CSTO does not provide a clear response to the aggression of third countries, so the agreements need to be tightened.
“What is the CSTO? If we do not reconsider at all what the CSTO is and what level of mutual obligations, and what it means. This is not NATO with Article XNUMX.
