Turkish President Recep Erdogan at the UN criticized the European Union for refusing to allocate the promised money to support 3 million 200 thousand Syrian refugees located on Turkish territory.

“We provide everyone who enters our territory with the necessary... I want to emphasize that we have not received sufficient support from the international community, especially from the European Union, for the efforts that we are carrying out in favor of refugees.
The expenditure by our government institutions, civil society organizations and the people at large to help those in need in the camps and cities of Turkey has exceeded US$30 billion.
The EU sent us only 820 million euros of aid out of the promised 3 billion euros, plus another 3 billion euros that were promised under various agreements,” Erdogan said.
According to him, assistance through UN channels is also insufficient - only $520 million has been received.
