Erdogan will announce “to Putin’s face”: Türkiye does not recognize Russian Crimea
Turkey, despite the warming of relations with Russia, categorically refuses to recognize the Russian status of Crimea, Turkish Ambassador to Ukraine Yonet Tezel said in an interview with the Kyiv publication “European Truth”.

“We, as before, support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. And when we say this, it also means that Crimea is an integral part of Ukraine. And the Russians know that we will not change this position. This is a fundamental question.
There can be no doubt about this, and we say this to the Russians’ faces: improving relations is good, but we will not make concessions in our policy towards Ukraine, including on Crimea,” the diplomat said.
Earlier, the Kremlin press service reported a possible meeting between Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart in the first ten days of August.
