Erdogan signed up to territorial claims against Russia
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan once again announced his non-recognition of the reunification of Crimea with Russia. He said this during Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to Turkey.
“We have once again confirmed our basic principle of non-recognition of the illegal annexation of Crimea. We also announced our support for the Crimean Platform, which is designed to unite the lands of Ukraine,” Erdogan said.
As a result of the negotiations, a declaration was signed, where the parties promise to “continue to coordinate steps aimed at restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine, ... in particular, the de-occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.”
Turkey also promised to allocate money for the construction of housing for Crimean Tatars who left for Ukraine - 200 apartments each in Nikolaev and Kherson, as well as another 100 apartments in Kyiv.
