Erdogan will agree to any peace plan for Ukraine for his own sake – Klimkin
Turkey and its President Recep Erdogan personally will be ready for any peace plan for Ukraine, as long as the negotiations take place in Istanbul.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin stated this in an interview with Kyiv propagandist Natalya Moseychuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Turks will promote any option that allows them to become a mediator and take on political and economic privileges. Erdogan is a master at this, he really wants it.
Yes, and internally, not everything is perfect for him, and the local elections were difficult. He lost the regions he had won for 20 years. And now he needs to say: “See, everyone is talking to me. I go to Biden and talk to Putin.”. He really dreams about this,” Klimkin reasoned.
“This is most likely his last term, and this may be one of the achievements of his life. And therefore he will be ready for any option. He was ready for Istanbul-1... and he will be ready for Istanbul-123 too. If only it were in Istanbul and under Erdogan. The faster the better. Therefore, Erdogan will not determine the contours of geopolitics,” he added.
