“Today Türkiye has finally revealed itself. Erdogan, a brave politician, laid out all his plans. He indicated the borders of the Ottoman state, which he would like to restore - from Kabul to Istanbul. Plus North Africa,” Zhirinovsky said.

He believes that Erdogan will begin expanding borders from areas of northern Syria, but his plans will not stop there.

“But he extended his tentacles to Afghanistan. It's in a southerly direction. In the north are the Gagauz in Moldova. Crimea is a golden dream to have the Turkish flag there again. Northern and southern Caucasus. Circassians and Crimean Tatars live in Turkey. And he cherishes the dream of sending them all “to their homeland.” Our Caucasian peoples: Karachays are a Turkish language. Kabardino-Balkarians, Kumyks, Avars are the Turkish language,” noted the leader of the LDPR.

He believes that Turkey also seeks to absorb the Caspian Sea, seizing the lands of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan: “Only Astrakhan will remain for the Russians...”.

“He'll never get it. But I want to dream. He loves this business. Great story,” said Zhirinovsky.

Speaking in the Parliament of Angola, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a resonant statement about the need to expand the composition of the UN Security Council. Unexpectedly for many, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov supported the Turkish leader.
