Erdogan could set Karabakh on fire again at any moment - expert
The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh has not yet been fully resolved; this year the situation in the region may flare up with renewed vigor, since all parties to the conflict were dissatisfied with its results.
Russian observer and journalist Maxim Yusin stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Yusin, Turkey can add “fuel to the fire” in order to provoke Azerbaijan to new military actions.
“So far, it seems that everything is fine, but there is a feeling that this year will be a year of serious challenges there. Because the main problem – the status of Nagorno-Karabakh – has not been resolved. The Armenian society has the feeling that they have suffered defeat, but they cannot come to terms with it, and somehow the situation needs to be corrected; the Azerbaijanis have the feeling that we stole the victory from them at the last moment, when there was already one forced march left to Stepanakert .
If they took him, they would eliminate the Nagorno-Karabakh problem altogether, but now how can you eliminate it when Russian peacekeepers have appeared. How will Türkiye behave? Will she be the arsonist of a big fire here, trying to provoke the same Azerbaijanis to some kind of violent actions? I don’t know, in general, it’s going to be a very difficult game,” Yusin said.
