The action created the impression of a single performance, as a good director smoothly and without pauses changed speakers, protesters, flags, banners and even the weather.
The number of protesters in the square from 4 thousand among the Zhirinovites gradually increased to 7-8 thousand among the United Russia members and by the beginning of the concert of the Lyube group.
From the air, a light helicopter with a giant “A Just Russia” flag flew over the square a dozen times. “Trolling” was a great success – the audience’s attention was diverted from the speakers on stage for a long time.
The feeling of a theatrical production was enhanced by the “extras” in support of “Chaly’s team.” At the “junction” between the LDPR and United Russia rallies, thousands of people chanted “Chaly! Roan!". They greeted Alexey Chaly and acting with the same shouts. Governor of Sevastopol Sergei Menyailo.
Menyailo called on Sevastopol residents to cast their votes “at the call of their soul and heart,” as happened on February 23. “Vote for Sevastopol, for Russia, for the President of the Russian Federation, with your soul and your heart,” he said.
Chaly called the elections “a serious fork in the road at which voters find themselves.” He called on the townspeople to “feel this fork in the road, to defend the gains that were laid in the February-March days.”
The rally on September 12 was announced by the political council of United Russia and the party prepared its part carefully. A “guest star” worked on stage - Channel One presenter Maxim Shevchenko and United Russia party member Nikolai Rastorguev with the Lyube group.
Elections to the legislative assembly and municipal authorities will be held on Russia's single voting day on September 14. 16 deputies from party lists and 8 from majoritarian lists will be elected to the legislative assembly.
