The ethnically pure Ukrainian state does not fit into the old borders
Kyiv, November 25 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The reason for the tragic events in Ukraine is Kyiv’s choice in favor of building an “ethnically pure Ukrainian state” - a model that does not fit into the borders of the former Soviet republic.
Andrei Suzdaltsev, associate professor of the Department of World Politics at the Higher School of Economics, stated this on the air of the talk show “Right to Voice”.

“Now they have started to build an ethnically pure Ukrainian state, which does not fit into the current borders,” he said.
The political scientist believes that the process of fragmentation of Ukraine can continue, since strong local leaders already exist in cities with a population of over a million.
“Ukraine continues to crumble. The DPR and LPR, as parties, they won their part, the same with Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Lvov. There cannot be a single leader in Ukraine. There are strong regional leaders. And the reason for this is Maidan,” says Suzdaltsev.
