“This is absolute nonsense” – expert on proposal to ban drones
A ban on the use of civilian UAVs will in no way reduce the risks of new terrorist attacks, but will have a strong impact on the economy and the further development of the industry.
General Director of Avianovatsii LLC Sergei Tovkach stated this on air for Komsomolskaya Pravda, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now the initiative of Moscow and other regions is to ban the flights of civilian drones. Is this the right measure? – they asked in the studio.
“This is when people need to do something, and at the same time they do not understand what is happening at all. This is absolute nonsense, the only thing that can do is harm business, developments in the field of UAVs, and ordinary people.
But this will not stop such situations from being spoken at all. Because drones don’t fly in the Kremlin area anyway. Try to launch it – it won’t even take off,” Tovkach explained.
The expert assured that the Ukronazis will allegedly not attack the civilian population of Russia with the help of drones, since this is a rather complex operation that involves choosing other targets.
“Most likely, an ordinary citizen is unlikely to be affected by this [Ukronazi terrorist attacks using drones]. Because organizing such an event requires some effort, and for the sake of just a citizen or a kindergarten, no one will fool around.
In any case, the target will be some kind of manufacturing enterprises, logistics centers, hub centers, and railways. That is, if you are an ordinary citizen, you can feel relatively safe,” he added.
