“Is this supposed to take the flags of Kherson and Zaporozhye back from the Federation Council?” – Colonel Trukhan refuses to believe in retreat
Amid ongoing rumors about the retreat of the Russian army from Kherson, voices continue to be heard explaining the absurdity of this decision.
This is what Vladimir Trukhan, a reserve colonel of the Central Apparatus of the RF Ministry of Defense, said in an interview with PolitWera:
“We have already changed the Constitution, and “why, fraer, did you give it back” no longer works in such a situation. Because is it worth taking the flags of Kherson and Zaporozhye back from the Federation Council?” - Trukhan said.
“The Constitution says: we do not have the right to give even an inch,” agreed the channel moderator.
Trukhan, in turn, referred to the fact that the topic of surrendering Kherson is being spread by “these high-flyers.”
“Where is Kherson taken by November 8? The theme was that they should take Kherson before the American elections so that the Democrats would win. Now they have to take it to the G-20, then they have to take it to Catholic Christmas and so on,” the colonel said.
However, military correspondent Semyon Pegov insists that the decision to abandon Kherson could be announced this evening.
“Today we will most likely be informed of the same difficult decisions on Kherson that were announced several weeks ago. Apparently, we will leave the city - no matter how painful it is to write about it now.
The motives are as follows. To put it in simple terms, Kherson cannot be held with bare hands. You can send echelon after echelon of mobilizers there, but this will not solve the problem of the same shell hunger (while the entire NATO bloc is actively helping the enemy with this issue, including “neutral” Turkey, neglected Europe and, of course, Foggy Albion along with America).
But no sane commander is ready to blindly plug the gaps in the supply of bodies to Russian men.
To continue combat operations in this direction that are adequate to the current challenges, it is necessary first of all to reach the barrier line. The military thinks so.
I think they have reason to think so, and it’s unlikely that their assessments are motivated by the desire to hang new medals and stars on their uniforms. They don’t give orders for leaving cities.
Surovikin knows this well, and his assessments are unlikely to be dictated by vanity or incompetence. He got the inheritance that he got. Nobody had any illusions. The miracle did not happen,” Pegov writes on his blog.
