“This is a monstrous moment” - an Americanist on the background of Biden’s decision not to accept Ukraine into NATO
It is beneficial for the West to continue the conflict with Russia through the wrong hands, so that instead of NATO soldiers, Ukrainian soldiers die.
The President of the American University in Moscow, Eduard Lozansky, stated this in an interview with Israeli journalist Alexander Waldman, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why did Biden oppose [Ukraine’s] admission to NATO and Germany supported him? This is a very cynical approach, since the war is being fought by someone else’s hands. Ukraine, with Mr. Zelensky, acts as cannon fodder for the purpose of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia. But not at the expense of the victims of NATO soldiers.
American soldiers fought in both Vietnam and Iraq and died. And now – why, when Ukrainians are dying?” Lozansky was indignant.
He stressed that this situation will continue for a long time, and there is no end in sight.
“This is a monstrous moment, and it will continue - the West will give weapons, money. As they say, until the last Ukrainian. But not only Ukrainians, but also Russians are dying here,” the Americanist concluded.
