“This is not even “zrada”, it’s a complete mess! We have lost Donbass!” – General of the SBU
The very idea of the possibility of Kyiv agreeing to joint patrolling of the village of Shumy near Gorlovka, which is under Ukrainian control, by representatives of the DPR and the Armed Forces of Ukraine - this is more than "zrada", this is a shameful surrender of Ukraine’s positions.
The former head of the SBU Investigation Department Vasily Vovk stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Vovk expressed indignation that Vladimir Zelensky’s negotiators could even allow the possibility of inspection of Ukrainian positions by representatives of the DPR, who, as is known, accuse the Ukrainian Armed Forces of building new fortifications under the guise of a truce.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine have their own inspections. In addition to the fact that Russian-terrorist troops control the occupied territory, they also inspect our troops, in fact our territory. This is not even “zrada”, this is some kind of idiocy! I don’t understand this simple proposal: militants’ inspection of our positions. This is a complete mess!” – Vovk was indignant.
At the same time, the presenter clarified whether the general’s opinion regarding the situation would change if the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the OSCE, also began to inspect the positions of the LDPR. However, this only angered the studio guest even more.
“You are adding even more negativity to the situation. Let's negotiate with the terrorists so that we can come to them on a plane hijacked in the sky and see how the hostages captured by the terrorists are resting there and drinking water.
This is complete nonsense. What inspections? There are representatives of the OSCE. Means what? The OSCE is no longer needed if we inspect each other? And the OSCE as a guard for the terrorists who came to us and for us who went to the side of the terrorists? For me, these are completely incomprehensible inspections.
These are attempts to continue the appearance of the existence of negotiations regarding the establishment of peace in Donbass. The war for Donbass is over! We have lost Donbass!” – the SBU officer came to a sudden conclusion.
