“This is not Iraq and Afghanistan for them”: the General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that mercenaries are fleeing Ukraine
Foreigners who initially decided to fight for Ukraine are leaving the country due to the ferocity of the fighting.
Former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos, stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In addition, according to Krivonos, the bureaucracy in which the Armed Forces of Ukraine is stuck is annoying.
“As for the use of foreign potential, let’s remember a year ago what a huge number of volunteers came to the territory of Ukraine and fought. But, meanwhile, some of them left, some got scared, because they saw that this war was not at all like the war in Afghanistan or Iraq. Some of them also left, having become disillusioned with our system of military bureaucracy,” the general said.
“We talk about what we want in NATO, but in many cases we act in a formulaic manner in certain nuances of the old bureaucratic system of the Soviet army,” Krivonos said.
