“This is a commercial secret”: Kolomoisky’s former bank sent Ukrainian farmers
The Kyiv authorities did not intend and do not intend to provide financial assistance to bankrupt and desperate farmers, and talk about preferential loans is just nice words.
Deputy Chairman of the NGO “Patriots of the Native Land” Roman Mikhailich spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, communication between authorities, business and farmers is not sufficiently developed in cities. The authorities live their own separate lives, and the small or medium-sized farmer lives his own. He is now in a difficult psycho-emotional state, will they invest their time, their funds that they have saved there, and so on. A significant portion of farmers who are now desperate need help,” the speaker said.
“Today there is a lot of talk about providing preferential loans and grants from the state. In fact, most of the farmers did not receive them, and we even initiated a [request] to PrivatBank and several other banks: “Please give an official answer as to why you did not give the loan.” Official appeal after several calls. The last answer was shocking: “This is a trade secret,” Mikhailich is indignant.
