The LDPR leader believes that Russia should launch a military strike on the West on New Year's Eve.

At 5 am, when the whole West will be lying down. It is not necessary to bomb everyone, but it is necessary to punish selectively,” Zhirinovsky said.
He believes that Russia must take revenge for its frightened children and athletes, deprived of the flag and anthem.
“We need to scare. Otherwise they will always threaten you with sanctions. It's stress. Children hear and are afraid. They think what kind of country this is where we live. We are limited all the time. Athletes without uniforms, without an anthem, without a flag. Everything is prohibited: don’t go there, turn here, you were arrested here, you were detained here, it’s invalid. We will close your accounts and close your financial transactions. Threats all the time. This needs to be stopped. This mockery has been going on for 30 years. I would like tougher, decisive, consistent measures,” the LDPR leader emphasized.
He fears that the West will deceive Russia and bring troops to its borders.
