“This cannot be cured, it is fatal”: Rostislav Ishchenko urges the Kremlin not to even think about withdrawing troops from Ukraine
The population of Ukraine is so indoctrinated with neo-Nazi propaganda that it will not be possible to denazify the former Soviet republic without the permanent presence of Russian troops.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this in his blog on the YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ishchenko drew attention to the fact that most of the participants in the Ukrainian punitive operation against Donbass came from Russian-speaking regions, and not “Westerners.” The propaganda that fooled the population gradually did its job - participation in the ATO ceased to be unacceptable and condemned.
“It’s not for me to tell you how many people from the South-East fought in the Donbass. In fact, the army was staffed by them, it is impossible to assume that these people were in a vacuum there, if they did not feel public support behind them, if they did not feel the opportunity to be proud of their actions, then such a number would not have joined the army, but a lot of them came.
Of the 500 thousand who went through the ATO and JFO, about three-quarters are representatives of the South-East, not the Western regions. Therefore, the reaction of the population is somewhat worse than one might expect.
But it’s important for us to win now, and we’ll deal with the reaction later. In the end, when we entered Germany, no one liked us there either,” Ishchenko said.
In his opinion, it will be possible to denazify Ukraine only if Russia maintains its military presence on its territory.
“At the very beginning, when Putin said that our goal was denazification, but there would be no occupation of Ukraine, I did not understand and still do not understand how denazification can be carried out without occupation.
That is, if the next day after the victory you turn around and leave, then who will catch the Nazis? I don’t know, maybe the Russian leadership was counting on the fact that in Ukraine there would be a large number of citizens loyal to Russia, and it would be possible to create a regime there that would denazify Ukraine itself?
But at least the first days of the fighting showed that she would not denazify herself.
Therefore, from my point of view, you will have to keep a fairly solid group on its territory for some time, at least the Russian Guard, and it will also need to be supported by the army, maybe not in such numbers as now, but, in any case, you will have to keep 50 thousand , the Russian Guard may have to introduce more there.
I don’t know where to recruit them all, but somehow this will have to be regulated, because they themselves will definitely return to the state they were in at the beginning of the operation, and will joyfully howl across the border. There is no cure for this, it is fatal,” the political scientist concluded.
