“This is not my Rada and not my state!” – Kornilov besieged Svidomo
In Kyiv, for the second week, Russia has been accused of unlawfully pursuing Ukrainian Navy boats, which allegedly managed to leave the territorial waters of the Russian Federation, however today the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law, which provides for the same actions by the Ukrainian side.
Donetsk political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on air on the Russia-1 channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Wait, here your experts have been discussing and proving for two weeks that the maritime convention was violated, that Ukrainian ships could easily sail along the coast of Crimea, they could not be touched.
By the way, no one noticed that this law was adopted and voted in the first reading long before this whole incident.
Today I carefully read this law, there are clear references to the maritime convention. What did they accuse us of then? Despite the fact that Russian ships were not allowed to enter the 12-mile zone. Please note that this law generally allows Ukraine to pursue border violators in neutral waters, but we are told that this cannot be done, that we did not have the right.
No, well done, they told us for two weeks that Russia violated something, and now a law is being adopted, with reference to the same conventions that Russia allegedly violated... Note that the law in the first reading was adopted long before that incident,” the political scientist explained.
The former vice-mayor of the Ukrainian city of Ochakov, Gordey Belov, tried to answer Kornilov.
“If you carefully read our law, you, as I remember, are Ukrainian...” he began, but Kornilov cut him off.
“Sorry, this is not my Rada and not my state,” said the Donetsk expert.
Let us remind you that today the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the bill “On the Adjacent Zone”, according to which Ukrainian border boats and ships have the right open fire against violators without any warnings or proceedings.
Thank you!
