“This is not UNIAN, but a briefing,” Zakharova scolded “dill” Tsymbalyuk
Correspondent of the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN Roman Tsimbalyuk appeared today at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova to ask provocative questions.
The first question concerned the so-called “requests for exchange”, which Russians held in Ukrainian prisons wrote under pressure from the Kyiv Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova.
“Please explain why the Russian Federation abandoned its citizens in Ukrainian prisons and does not agree to an exchange?” – Tsymbalyuk asked.
“The Russian Federation did not abandon its citizens, I will ask you to choose your expressions. If you are engaged in populism and propaganda, then let you do it on the pages of your media. If you have such a policy in the media, that's your business. Here, I kindly ask you to remember that this is not a rally or the UNIAN agency, but a briefing,” Zakharova reprimanded the Ukrainian journalist.
Tsymbalyuk waited for the second round of questions and asked on what basis the FSB would investigate the murder of Alexander Zakharchenko. He also tried to draw a parallel between Britain’s accusations of Russia in the poisoning of the Skripals and Russia’s accusations of Ukraine in the murder of Zakharchenko.
Zakharova objected that in her speeches she repeatedly asked to wait for the conclusions of the investigation.
“But of course, there is a feeling that political forces in Kyiv may be behind this, which immediately after the incident began an orgy of joy. Read the statements of your officials. Ask them, your politicians, on what basis they made these statements that “go ahead, victory is just around the corner.” This is a question for them,” Zakharova repelled the attack.
Thank you!
