“This is impossible” – Sladkov on the prospects for the appearance of UN peacekeepers in Ukraine
The introduction of UN “peacekeepers” into the territory of Ukraine is impossible, because without Moscow’s consent such an action would actually mean a declaration of war on Russia.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Sladkov stated this on his video blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I do not allow the entry of European peacekeeping forces into the Northern Military District zone. What are they needed for? They are not needed here. There are two forms of peacekeeping - peace enforcement and peacekeeping. Here we were in Georgia enforcing peace.
Who will force peace, Europe? It will be a declaration of war if they come in without our permission. Should we be forced to peace? We have nuclear weapons, where to force us. This cannot be,” said the military correspondent.
He emphasized that the second form of peacekeeping – peacekeeping – would only be a useless prolongation of the Ukrainian conflict.
“And if we maintain peace - record incidents, set up checkpoints along the demarcation line, report to the UN, the UN must provide a system for the negotiation process between Ukraine, us, and America.
Why do we need this delay? We resolve our issues ourselves. And we will never agree to the presence of peacekeepers. This is impossible,” summed up Sladkov.
