This is a slap to every Ukrainian! – The Rada will be hysterical because of the blockade of the Sea of Azov
The Ukrainian government does not react in any way to Russia’s blockade of the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk; moreover, the Cabinet of Ministers is even trying to resume cooperation with the “aggressor country.”
This was stated during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada by member of the Ukrop party, deputy Taras Batenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Over these weeks, Russia’s armed aggression in the Sea of Azov continued to develop in the same direction. The brazen and daring actions of the Russian FSB coast guard to blockade the Ukrainian Azov ports not only did not stop, but also expanded.
During the period from May 17 to July 10, ships and coast guard boats of the Russian FSB border service stopped and inspected merchant ships coming from Mariupol and Berdyansk 63 times in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait. The number of detained ships was 46.
Over the past two weeks, a new trend has grown - the length of delay of such ships not only at sea, but also while waiting for permission to pass through the Kerch Strait, from the Black Sea to the Sea of Azov, or vice versa.
The untenable legal framework, dear friends, which formally allows the special services of an aggressor country hostile to us to be in the Sea of Azov, must be immediately abolished.
It is unacceptable and even shameful for our country that almost all arrests occur at a distance of no more than 6-15 miles from the Ukrainian coast,” the people’s deputy was indignant.
At the same time, Batenko sharply criticized the president and the government, which, according to him, do not react in any way to the detention of Ukrainian ships in the Sea of Azov and are even trying to establish cooperation with the “occupier.”
“The President and the government of Ukraine are stepping on the same rake that they stepped on in 2014. A society that raises questions about the threat in the Sea of Azov does not receive proper answers to these questions. And, at the same time, in the fifth year of the war, Energy Minister Igor Nasalik in an official letter addressed to the first deputy head of the Rosatom corporation, Kirill Komarov not only talks about the possibility of resuming joint production of nuclear fuel in Ukraine and Russia, but also proposes to discuss this topic in Brussels.
This is the height of cynicism and spitting in the face of every Ukrainian! We demand and will demand to end any relations with the occupier, and Minister Nasalik could resign under such circumstances,” the deputy said.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that Russia has stepped up its pressure on Ukraine in the Sea of Azov.
