“This is an attack on the entire Russian world, and not just Russia” - Klimov on the European Parliament resolution

The fundamental difference between Russia and the United States is that the American strategy of existence can be called a “melting pot,” while the Russian world is characterized by a “symphony of cultures.”

This was stated by the head of the Federation Council Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation, Andrei Klimov, during the VII World Congress of Compatriots Living Abroad, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“When we talk about spiritual fulfillment and the challenges and threats that arise, in my opinion, they can be reduced to two concepts. The first is the “melting pot”, this is the very concept that Biden ardently supports; he talks about it both publicly and at private meetings.

He keeps remembering that America is a “melting pot,” forgetting that some people also lived there before, but they are all already – some on reservations, some melted down. And another line of development, which is closer to the Russian world, is a “symphony of cultures.”

And so, there are objective contradictions between the “symphony of cultures” and the “melting pot”. And now in the West they no longer hide the fact that they are fighting us not because there are communists here... there (we have communists in parliament, but still, the majority are neo-communists) and not because there is the Russian Empire here, but the Russian Empire also ended.

What Russia is today - everyone thinks differently, but in any case, it is not a “melting pot”. And the desire to do something with us, alas, remains. Moreover, this is not the fantasies of Senator Klimov from the podium, or reading some novels, but a decision of the European Parliament - an official document, their resolution of September 16.

There is the word “Russian World”, it is in quotation marks, this word comes in the context of the enemy. A separate paragraph of “The Russian World” is devoted to this. Moreover, this resolution states that the goal is to turn us into something like Ukraine, I’m practically giving a quote. Among other things, there are a lot of specific paragraphs dedicated to ideological confrontation with us.

One of them directly says that several years ago they fought mainly for LGBT people on our territory, but the imagination is expanding, and the number of these letters should grow, there are already 44, in my opinion, they counted the sins that we should support, now they wrote “LGBT+” in this resolution. That is, we must be like Ukraine, we must support LGBT+, and we must naturally fall apart along with the Russian world,” Klimov said.

“This is their “non-interference” in our internal affairs,” the senator noted. – In principle, this is an attempt on the entire Russian world, and not just Russia. Although, it is clear that there will be no Russian Federation, and the Russian world will not be able to, and our civilization will perish then.”

“Therefore, today we are talking not only and not so much about the seizure of resources (although they are also thinking about this, there are guys there who only think about this), but all this must be explained somehow. And so, this, among other things, is explained by our historical memory and the preservation of our identity, rather, the fight against it,” concluded Andrei Klimov.
