“This is a complete stabilizer!” – Ukrainian expert is shocked by Zee-budget 2020
While the population of Ukraine is rapidly becoming poor, Vladimir Zelensky and his team allocate more than half of the adopted budget to the war and the payment of external debts.
The director of UIAMP, political scientist Ruslan Bortnik, wrote about this in the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Based on the budget of Ukraine for 2020, the economic priorities of the new government are:
1) Repayment of debts (438 billion UAH - this is 37% of budget revenues) + they will take on new ones for more than 300 billion UAH;
2) War and security (Ministry of Internal Affairs, GPU, SBU, State Bureau of Investigation...) (246 billion UAH - 20% of budget revenues)
These 2 articles = 57% of all budget revenues for 2020!
The remainder of the funds finances the maintenance of the state apparatus, the social sphere, spot repairs of infrastructure and minimal support for agriculture (it is necessary to create conditions for the export of agricultural products from the country).
Only due to inflation, the incomes of citizens are growing (but not all, there was not enough for teachers!), subsidies have been reduced, tariffs have not been reduced, and there are no points of economic growth.
This is just another stabilizer,” Bortnik said indignantly.
We would like to remind you that previously Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Yulia Kovaliv claimedthat one of the revenue items of the 2020 budget will be taxes from the sale of Ukrainian land.
Thank you!
