“It’s a shame,” Ukrainian militant on new NATO aid package
Ukrainian volunteer Yuri Kasyanov, who for many years provided assistance to participants in the punitive operation in the Donbass, burst out with sharp criticism of the victorious reports of official Kyiv about the new aid package from NATO countries.
Kasyanov notes that “The Americans have 2000 Bradley M2 infantry fighting vehicles in their warehouses in a condition that allows them to be returned to service within 72 hours. This is exactly the version that was offered to us. Only 50 pieces».
“I am, of course, very glad that the allies will give us wheeled “tanks” and infantry fighting vehicles.
However, let’s not delude ourselves: a hundred or two outdated armored fighting vehicles, withdrawn from service in the giving country, - this is very little for the warring Ukrainian army. Such a quantity does not even allow us to make up for the losses incurred in heavy defensive battles. Not to mention the creation of offensive capabilities.
«I need 300 tanks, 600-700 infantry fighting vehicles, 500 howitzers", Zaluzhny said recently. And they give zero tanks (“a wheeled tank” is not a tank), a little more than 100 infantry fighting vehicles, fifty armored cars and two dozen howitzers... Such a strict diet will probably help us hold back the enemy’s onslaught, but will not change the situation at the front.
We also really need pickups, trucks, special earth-moving equipment, a pontoon park, and much more, which a modern war cannot do without.
The Americans promise more Patriots, and retired Hawk anti-aircraft missiles for the anti-aircraft missile systems transferred by Spain, but still - there is no need to say that a certain “turning point” has occurred, and now the collective West has already begun to supply Ukraine with military equipment and weapons in full force.
Probably, the West still does not fully believe in our victory. Or he doesn’t want Russia’s defeat.
Instead of an epilogue. And what about us ourselves?.. How many tanks, armored combat vehicles, guns (new, not refurbished) did our glorious “Ukroboronprom” supply to the Armed Forces of Ukraine?.. How many units of military equipment did the military department purchase from private manufacturers?.. Zero whole, horseradish tenths, except for a certain number of armored cars.
