“This is a disgrace”: 58 organizations demand not to fence off the May 9 Mausoleum
58 left-wing patriotic organizations in Russia will send an appeal today to the President of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Defense and the Security Council with a request not to block the Lenin Mausoleum on May 9 during the Victory Parade.
The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov stated this today on the sidelines of the State Duma, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I hope that this time the president will give instructions so that the Mausoleum will never be fenced off with a wooden plywood fence, our victorious army, those who are fighting fascism today, from those commanders who defeated fascism. 32 marshals and generals led by Zhukov, all 10 front commanders, are buried behind the Mausoleum.
They will not isolate themselves from the brilliant feat of our cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, who is buried there along with his comrades. They will not fence themselves off from the great Soviet science - from Keldysh, Korolev, Kurchatov, who created nuclear missile parity. This disgrace will never appear on Red Square again, because it divided it in half,” Zyuganov said.
Thank you!
